EDINBURGH MOUNTAIN FILM FESTIVAL is an annual event dedicated to the promotion of adventure through films, lectures and exhibitions. The festival aims to entertain, enlighten and inspire. It also offers film-makers the rare opportunity to showcase their exciting work.

The festival, which was formed in 2003, is not just about climbing and mountaineering. Its principle focus is adventure, which covers many activities such as skiing, snowboarding, BASE-jumping, mountain biking, kayaking and exploration, giving a rounded insight into mountain culture. Got a Film?

The Festival is currently seeking exciting, unusual and intriguing new films for its next event. A prize of £250 will be won by the best film, as voted by our judging panel. There is also a prize of £150 for the Best Climbing film and £50 for the People's Choice Award.
