This is the Sea (40 mins)
Sea-Kayaker Justin Curgenven brings the World Premiere of her latest
sea-kayaking film to the EMFF.
The film covers 3 fascinating expeditions - Haida
culture & humpback whales around British Columbia's Queen Charlotte
Islands; island-hopping from Australia to Tasmania across the Bass Strait;
and a 2,400km trip around the stunning South island of New Zealand complete
with intimidating surf and a helicopter evacuation.

This is how Karina Hollekim describes her dedication to BASE jumping.
Documentary filmmaker Jens Hoffman first met the now 30-year-old Norwegian
in 2002. He started to document her life, accompanying her through many
stages of her BASE-jumping career, until it comes to a sudden stop,
changing all aspects of her life.

The stunning footage of BASE jumping in destinations around the world
form a stunning visual backdrop to this dramatic and compelling film,
which has won awards around the world and is sure to be a highlight
of the festival.
